Our National Expansion Plan
Since launching our dedicated fried chicken delivery service in 2020, Swiss Chalet has seen tremendous demand from coast to coast. Our expansion strategy focuses on bringing our delivery service to every major Canadian city, ensuring that more Canadians can enjoy our premium fried chicken from the comfort of their homes.
With these new openings, we're proud to say that Swiss Chalet's delivery coverage now reaches over 70% of the Canadian population, with plans to reach 85% by the end of 2024.
Halifax: Our East Coast Debut
Opening June 15, 2023, our Halifax delivery hub marks Swiss Chalet's first dedicated presence in Nova Scotia. Located in the heart of Halifax's downtown area, this new location will serve the entire metropolitan area with an average delivery time of just 35 minutes.
To celebrate our East Coast launch, Halifax customers can enjoy a special Maritime Meal Deal featuring our signature fried chicken paired with locally sourced sides for a limited time.

Winnipeg: Strengthening Our Prairie Presence
Opening July 8, 2023, our Winnipeg location strengthens Swiss Chalet's presence in the Prairie provinces. Strategically located to serve both downtown and suburban areas, this hub features our latest kitchen technology designed specifically for delivery efficiency.
The Winnipeg location will employ over 45 local staff and drivers, contributing to the local economy while bringing our beloved fried chicken to Manitoba households.
Calgary: A Second Location to Meet Growing Demand
Due to overwhelming demand at our existing Calgary location, we're opening a second delivery hub on August 3, 2023, in the northern part of the city. This expansion will significantly reduce delivery times for customers in Airdrie, Cochrane, and North Calgary neighborhoods.
The new Calgary North location will feature our expanded menu, including several new sides and dessert options that have been testing successfully in other markets.
Innovative Delivery Solutions
Each new location comes equipped with our innovative packaging technology that maintains the perfect temperature and crispiness of our fried chicken during transit. Our insulated delivery bags and custom-vented containers ensure that your food arrives as if it just came out of the kitchen.
We've also expanded our fleet with eco-friendly delivery vehicles, including electric bikes for dense urban areas and hybrid cars for longer routes, reducing our carbon footprint while maintaining quick delivery times.
Job Creation and Community Investment
These three new locations will create approximately 120 new jobs across Canada, including kitchen staff, delivery drivers, and management positions. Swiss Chalet is proud to contribute to local economies while bringing our beloved food to more Canadians.
As part of our community investment initiative, each new location will partner with a local food bank, donating a portion of opening week proceeds to support food security in their communities.
Looking Ahead: Future Expansion Plans
Looking beyond 2023, Swiss Chalet has already secured locations for expansion into Victoria, Quebec City, and Saskatoon, with openings planned throughout 2024.
Our long-term vision includes not just geographic expansion, but also menu innovations that cater to evolving Canadian tastes while maintaining the classic Swiss Chalet flavors that have made us a national favorite.
